About
I am a designer, dressmaker and textile artist specializing in vintage restyling and restoration. I studied fashion at Parsons School of Design.
I have been restoring and restyling vintage gowns for over twenty-five years. I enjoy hand sewing, repairing and beading. I draw from vintage lace, fabric, trim, notions and beads that I have collected over the years and I often do a sketch of the dress.
I’ve worked on numerous gowns from all decades. I enjoy the challenge of bringing new life to an old dress. I restore vintage veils and headpieces, create contemporary veils and do bridal alterations.
I work by appointment only from my off-the-street studio/workshop in Greenwich Village in New York City.
I also like to create textile art please visit my website at www.annhamiltontextileart.com
